The Purpose of  the Committee on Youth (COY) is to advise the Township Board on the provision of programs and services to combat and prevent juvenile delinquency. The Committee also seeks to provide for the well-being of underserved and underprivileged youth and their families who reside in DeKalb Township. This is accomplished through partnerships and the creation of funding of youth activities. The DeKalb Township Committee on Youth currently consists of six committee members, including one Board Liaison. The Committee on Youth reviews all grant applications, however, the Township Board of Trustees ultimately make all decisions pertaining to grant requests.
